  4. 1. To prevent data loss, backup your data files frequently.

  6. I know how important my log is to me.  If my computer should decide to go crazy when it is writing data, I don‚Äôt want to lose my work.  Therefore I always make a copy of the year I was last working on, so I only can lose what I have just entered.

  8. 2. Remove unneeded Inits, Control Panels and Extensions.

  10. Do this to lessen the chance of conflicts with the system.
